Summit School of the Poconos is no longer operational, as of July 2022. All Summit team efforts are currently focused on building Summit Charter School. This site remains active to provide information about the educational model upon which the Summit Charter School is based.
Brett Reigel holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with a dual major in English Literature and Dramatic Arts from Dickinson College, as well as a Juris Doctor degree from the Dickinson School of Law. Brett has worked in the legal field since 1992 and is currently a Partner and owner at ARM Lawyers in Stroudsburg.
Brett’s professional recognition and affiliations include: Five time selection to Pennsylvania Super Lawyers (2014-2019), American Association of Premier DUI Attorneys, Pennsylvania Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Pennsylvania Bar Association, and Certified Mediator.
Brett’s entrepreneurial spirit began when he was just a tween and launched a landscaping company that resulted in five seasonal employees before he finished high school.
“Both my parents were teachers, my paternal uncle was a high school principal, his first wife a school psychologist, and his second a math teacher. Education seems to run in our family,” says Brett. Brett’s first position in law was with PSEA, the state teacher’s union. He has also represented many students and parents in various matters involving education and special education law. Other clients have included private educational institutions and preschools. Brett brings his expertise and passion for strong education options in Monroe County to the Summit School board with a goal of helping to grow and improve those options in the greater Pocono Community.
Over the years, Brett has acted in a volunteer capacity for several organizations including the Berwick Public Library, the Berwick Area United Way, the American Red Cross, and Boy Scouts of America, from which he obtained Eagle Scout in Berwick, PA and was an Order of the Arrow Member. He is a past member of Rotary of the Smithfield's and a prior board member for Pocono Services for Families and Children and Evergreen Community School.
In his free time, Brett enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, hunting, hiking, motorcycle riding, shooting, and just about any outdoor pursuit. He lives in the Stroudsburg area with his fiance, Sandy Gordon, and their combined children, Bryson, Logan, Aidan, and Rachel.
