Summit School of the Poconos is no longer operational, as of July 2022. All Summit team efforts are currently focused on building Summit Charter School. This site remains active to provide information about the educational model upon which the Summit Charter School is based.
John McKissick holds an undergraduate degree from Colorado Technical University, graduating Magna Cum Laude, as well as a Master of Business Degree from the Pennsylvania State University.
John began his career in the financial services industry in 1996 and has accumulated over two decades of experience in all aspects of the business. He is currently the Principal Operations Officer at ICE Bonds, a division of the Intercontinental Exchange (owner of the New York Stock Exchange) in Manhattan.
He currently serves on the Penn State World Campus Alumni Society Board of Directors and on two question and content review committees for FINRA (Financial) series exams. He has also been a guest speaker at both Georgetown University and Wharton Business School for graduate level students as well as financial industry members.
John brings the strength of his extensive financial background and experience to Summit School of the Poconos where he also serves as the co-chair of the finance committee. His wife, Jen, is a key member of the School’s fundraising and outreach committees. Together, they serve countless hours toward a mission that supports the academic and social-emotional growth of their boys.
In his free time, John enjoys playing ice hockey, golf, and traveling with his wife and children. They live in the Tannersville area.
